The stormy saga of a woman driven to produce her vision of the Nutcracker ballet despite great financial loss, mounting personal problems, little community support and violent hurricanes.

Set in tropical Key West, Florida, this Nutcracker, with its underwater theme and its obsessive producer, cost almost one million dollars.

When Hurricane Wilma results in storm surges, much of the town is flooded and people are left homeless.  Children are unable to get to rehearsals as the town comes to an abrupt halt.

The production gives the community an opportunity to help one another and truly experiences a renewal of the spirit of the holidays.  The stormy saga of a woman driven to produce her vision of the Nutcracker ballet despite great financial loss, mounting personal problems, little community support and violent hurricanes.
